TIME

 

If i could reteach what life is with all due respect, I would say life is a movie with a sequence of events. As an author I am a director of how this story should go. My life is a movie and I’m going for a Golden Globe. What am I now, 20 years older 630,720,000 seconds. I have learned more about time that the first book had neglected. Time is more than having activities throughout the day. Time is now completing task and paving your own way. Every step you take is a step that had to be made, the path has been paved so lead the way. 

 

As I continue to lead the way, let me teach you three things about time: You have to wait on it, control it, and use as much of it as you can in one time. By that I mean you need to have patience. The time will come but while you’re patiently waiting, prepare for the next move while your opportunity is vacant. When the time comes you’ll own it, and it’ll be exactly what you made it. A wise man before told me,”time is what you make it”. It took me living in my mom’s basement to really understand what he was saying . To avoid this type of tragedy, I hope you really hear what I’m saying.

 

When I was a Boy Scout,(yeah oops i said it)I learned “Be Prepared" was the motto. So prepared I was carrying the biggest pack wherever I go. Whether it was on top of a hill or waist deep in a creek, I carried my pack and others pack if they became ill or weak. It was the job duty of the quartermaster to carry all that the troop needs. From fat boy to Tarzan the boy scouts aided me in shaping my physique . My legs became strong and in sports I started to peak. If you ever heard of the saying,”What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” , I couldn’t agree with it more, what doesn’t kill you is worth it in the long run. Take the time before your time to prepare for the outcome, remember time is what you make it, make it impeccable.

 

Don’t be discouraged if now you don’t understand time. Time is essentially everything, and a lot to have on one mind. The funny thing is you don’t have to understand time to use it, but stay in the dark long enough and I guarantee you’ll abuse it. Naturally your life will play out how it’s supposed to be done, but if you know you can do better why not do better and then some?

 

Everything you do takes a certain amount of time. Well if that is the case, math is actually useful this time. Here’s a math problem of mine: I have work at 8:30am, my alarm woke me up at 7:30am, it took me 15 mins to turn it off, 30 mins to wash myself and brush my teeth, 5 extra minutes to get dressed, and 10 minutes to drive to work down the street. Did I make it to work on time? Mathematically, yes I made it right on time, but I didn’t even tell you about that “10 minute drive”. No solution comes without a problem, that’s why math equations are called “Math Problems”. I was behind a school bus that stopped and that was at least 5 mins. The street light wouldn’t change so that was another 5 mins that went by. I saw I was low on time so i thought to myself "45mph in a 25mph, who would ever tell?” Well that day a cop decided to patrol the backroad and 20 mins later i was fined with a hefty toll. By the time I got to work I was fired as soon as got into the door(it was my third offense), this could’ve been avoided if I would have skipped a shower, or if i just used time better than i did. “Every second you stare off in the air is another second less to spare. The less seconds you have to spare will be the same seconds you wish were there”.

 

The last 24hrs. you had yesterday will be the same 1440 mins you have today. The sun will be up for half of it and the moon for the other half, but not including Alaska. The birds will chirp in the morning and the insects will do the same at night. That list you headed to get done yesterday will be in the same spot tonight. For the next 86,400 seconds got as much as you can get done and stop living so reckless. Once you clear your plate you’ll have more space. “By maximizing your time and getting everything done, it will leave you with a space of time I like to call freedom!” 

 

"Procrastination cripples the nation’s brightest minds,

The infatuation of giving your best when you’re almost out of time,

Growing are the minds stuck in line between summer school and summer vacation,

As the motivation declines time finds another who’s schedule is more vacant,

To grow old and unnoticed for the things you could have done,

while you use your time for fun and not progression,

The time was there but your timing was off,

And by the time you got motivated your time was lost,

To avoid this type of tragedy maximize your time and get what needs to be done."

Opposite Sex

 

During the last book I wasn’t single and didn’t see a lot of imperfections. Now that I’m single now I’ve had some time devoted to reflection. As men when it comes to relationships we have a natural tendency to explore till we end up on plymouth rock and find what we’re looking for. For women when it comes to relationships they prefer to stay inside in their bare feet till prince charming comes like a sweep;) The tale of the hunter and hunted, but the women are looking weak. As long as women are able to give new life, they will control how the world will be.

 

There is a majority of the world now who’ve grown accustom to this tragedy. A mama with drama, a couple of kids, and a dad you don’t see. If you believe this is how she wanted to live here is something you wouldn’t believe. They said they would be together forever, but never together they will forever be. The kids grow to depise authority simply because it resembles the lost duties of their dad. While mom stays to raise the kids, though she has been lost since forever came to fast.

 

As a product of this tragedy I have come up with my own solution. Communicate what is really on your mind and leave no room for confusion. Albert Einstein  had said,” There are no stupid questions, but only stupid answers.” Too many times do we keep it to ourselves and see no improvement after. Like a soda we get shaken up every time we hold our tongue, till one day we implode over something as little like someone touching our stuff. Communication rules the nation,we do it all the time, Telling the truth isn’t as easy, and lies find a way in lines. Lying is a selfish move and that’s not how a team plays, because when you’re in a relationship, you are now teammates.  “Love is patience and gets better with time. Working together to make each other better, now that’s divine.” #Coxwisdom

 

Whether you’re a boy or man, William Congreve said something all males must learn. “Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turn, nor hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” I was warned while young, “Don’t break these girls hearts”, and the first time i did, she put a mechanical pencil in my arm. It does not matter how much charm you possess, when it comes to revenge, women do it best. To best avoid this type of revenge, don’t lie so much, and don’t promise forever if you’re not mature yet men. This may not apply to all, but life has given myself proof, a women’s heart can only be broken when you disenchant the confidence of what she holds to be true.

 

Women, if you didn’t know, have the opportunity to choose who is leading you. This should be used to avoid explorers like Colombus who do not even know how to get to India. You probably spend a lot of time getting ready if you are going out to an event. You should take even more time when it comes to choosing a man. Communication rules the nation but don’t just sit and listen. Challenge your man to do his best and always be persistent. Men know life can be hard, but you could be his cushion. Be that leg he can stand on without losing his footing. A man’s duty is to maintain his woman’s standard of living or to improve it. If your man continues to fail his duty then you should lose him.

The answer is simple yet the situation is perplexing.

Once you’re in a relationship it gets really interesting.

You either choose to be the one who’s right or to do the best thing.

If there is no trust without us, then there is no us without trust.

A relationship is hard enough and without trust is just a bust.

Yes, lying can be a slip of the tongue but it quickly builds up.

Do not just take from a relationship learn how to give it love."

Money

 

Money is everything or so they say. Money is still paper that eventually rots away. This chapter gets the most comments and attention, so this is what i have to say,”Money is what you make it, are you really thinking of getting paid?" There’s love and there’s happiness and money gets in the way.” 

 

The view of money is skewed in either direction you look at it if you’re paying attention to your own. For those who don’t have money it’s a burden working when you’d rather be home. For those who do have money they suffer the same pain. As you can tell we have similar burdens in different degrees. They are suffered in order to fulfill the necessities. The necessities of life include: Nourishment because you have to eat, Transportation because you have somewhere to be, Technology because there has to be something to do, Shelter because you have to have somewhere to sleep. In the modern day we take on the most responsibilities. Every time you spend money, you’re making a critical decision.

 

Throughout time money has always been an issue. Money used to be your possessions. Today it’s commas and zeros. The heroes of money were the ones who had it all but gave it back to the people. The villains of money were the ones who taxed and stole the possession of the people. The times haven’t changed but the dollars have increased. Less hands are in the pot but more people need to eat. More people dream about money but less people get to see. 

 

Whether you’re creating or selling the opportunity to make money it will always be a chase. Here in the world we have the most regulations to keep new competitors in their place. There is nothing the competition hates more than seeing a new face. “Longevity is the key so you have to keep going at it every day. To get anything you want in life you will have to go towards it and chase it.”

 

You will learn money as you grow and you will burn money before you earn money. The first thing you need to know about money is to go get your own. It takes change to make change, that’s why it comes from dollar bills. It is strange spending every thing when you don’t have enough to live. Minimum  wage is a maximum pain and a salary can be too. With too many hands in your pocket don’t expect to move. Cut your losses and start to profit by doing the things you need to do. What you have is what you got and what you borrow is what you lose. Borrowing from peter to payback paul, but peter will get back his due. Out of your pocket is his profit, the change that you would’ve spent on food. It might not be a lot till you’ve got someone who depends on you. Remember money is what you make it so don’t make it a fool.

 

To those who don’t want money: you are one of a kind. You see those who chase it and seem to not mind. We all have a life that takes more than money to make it. Are you avoiding life or avoiding money chasing? Different but not for too long, most change in due time. People here in the modern day have to have money to get by. To those who say 'they do not want money”: y’all can be quite fickle. Me, Me, Me is your focus, till you see that a bills are due. We all have different lives, but do your eyes see what i’m telling you. Are we all just trying to get by or would you rather live plentiful? All, and I do mean all of us, have this decision to make in life. The decision you get to keep making until you choose right. Same answer equals the same results, hopefully now I’ve opened your eyes. So many times money gets the negative connotation of being material. Let’s change the idea you had before and introduce you to something different. “Get money every day” should be everyone’s motive. This money that you get does  only what you told it. Money creates the opportunity to live life how you want it.

Amigos

 

You are who you hang with. You’ve heard this before. Friends ends with "ends" so now we call them amigos. Amigo ends with go so they’re indeed good people. It is spanish for “friends” and yes I am bilingual. The amigos that you have now started off as regular people. So when new people enter your life do not just stare at them through the peep-hole. They’re either a blessing or lesson and that is just life. Many times we keep good amigo candidates on standby. “The path you travel in life will have a lot of people you encounter. They will either counter your progression or make you go farther.” 

 

"Did you make any amigos today?" Your parents probably asked you if you made one in school. Well if you didn’t already know making amigos is what you do. The people around you will soon surround you till you give them something to do. They are all supposed to be somewhere but they’re waiting for you to tell them the next move.

 

As a good amigo, you will have to learn to lead and follow. Most people feel they don’t have a purpose so if you’re worth it they will follow. Along this path the grass is green but you will get pecked by swallows. Swallows represent all the people who were too stubborn to follow. Envy is the reason why their pride they couldn’t swallow. Continue to lead the way and you will learn eventually how to dodge them.

 

Like a bad relationships, people go through bad amigoships too. They either turn into swallows or become the newest member of your crew. Some are welcomed with open arms while others are given the boot. Every one has a story, but is it a story or the truth? Always follow your gut first and then do your research too. A good feeling equals a good result, while a bad feeling is bad news. Every new amigo is a new shot so make sure it’s a "goal!” “play to win and not to score” -advise from my good amigo bro.

 

It is a lot of responsibility being a good amigo. Your time will be demanded and you will have to constantly reevaluate your ego. Amigos push you towards your goals and their methods might vary. Every day won’t be paradise but in the end there is clarity. Your amigos will soon have goals of their own and that’s when you follow their lead. If you showed them how to be an amigo properly, you can trust their capabilities.

Family

 

In a time where bluetooth and wifi connects us, our first connections were our parents. Like Tom on myspace, they are your very first friend. Anyone else you meet after is considered your followers then. As you go through life you might just meet all of them. Your entire family receives alerts of the statuses of your followers. So please be careful who you choose to let follow you.

 

When you’re young you love posting statues, photos, and locations. As you get older you’re more busy living life and stopping isn’t in the mission. You’re family may think you’re dead though, so visit them for Christmas. In your absence, be an example of why you are your family’s greatest blessing. Talk like you have common sense, walk like the ground that you stand on is velvet, with your head up, and your back properly erected. If you were taught manners then use them then, even to the ones who try to abuse them. 

 

I’ve been around the world and stopped in every state. I’ve encountered and seen many families and not has one been the same. As a baby you repeat what you hear, mommy daddy yes and no. As a toddler you question every thing you see, What’s this? I don’t know? Every day you grow to have your opinion. You’re family loves you but they don’t need to see you. They had their own life before they got the chance to meet you. Families work hard so you could approach life the best. All those years of training so you could pass the test. They want to see you graduate not to take on your debt. So out of respect please do better than them. That means you might have to leave nest, but it’s alright that move is not only the best; It is the reason came to this earth and why you took your first breath.

 

 It’s 32 degrees and it’s starts snowing out, and I'm no longer a resident of my house. My mother was just bluffing but it really had me thinking now. If I was kicked out today I have nothing but myself to keep me living. I was kicked out for being lazy and the irony is amazing because how am i supposed to anything without the things you gave me? I came into the world with no clothes, no phone, just 2 hands and ten perfect toes. That’s when I realized I was good to go. When family motivates you, you will be smart to move.

 

I’ve landed in Georgia and there is humidity in the air, that suffocating, non-escapable heat feeling, I can compare it to love a woman, but more specifically the ladies of my family who could never be compared unless it’s to God’s wife or God’s children. All this love in this suffocating air and it’s all meant for me to keep living. As I drop beads of sweat I’m thankful that they aren’t tears of misery. The summer breeze comes and when it comes it’s always welcomed. I think the breeze is the reason I became so educated. Once I saw the clouds moving, I knew a draft would be expected. The summer breeze happens to be when family members start to log out or exit. The grown ups who appeared godly start to lose some of their luster and energy. A group of people bonded together whose excitement breeds new life. When you’re younger you just don’t get it. Once you get older in front of your eyes. You notice your family started aging faster with time. I remember looking up to them as a kid like they were six foot 9, but they were really 5 foot four to nine. They look up to me now and say they are proud of what i’ve become and will always be there in spirit if they don’t get to see my son. Families last forever, then summer breeze bellows in. Your family is there, with the air, any time you need them.

Then watch the kids start making goals,

and when they achieve them they’ll chase some more.
